Welcome to Pitbull Racing

Thanks for stopping by the official website of Pitbull Racing. We're a group of cyclists who love to ride and who want to make a difference. We train in Florida, Texas, North Carolina, California and Norway (yes, we're international)! You may see us at road races, time trials and triathlons. We ride with a mission to be fast and to spread the word about animal rescue and adoption.

Our story

It was decided in a parking lot. Melissa and Scott Wu had been talking about putting together a cycling team that promoted the Pitbull breed and animal adoption in general. While talking to their buds (who were also considering starting a team) after one of the Saturday rides, it was decided everyone was on board to form "Pitbull Racing." It just seemed appropriate that this group of good friends who are fun, fast and focused on the bike would be the initial members of a team we hope to see grow nationwide.

Pitbull Racing is partnered with Animal Matters, a Boca Raton-based non-profit organization commited to helping homeless animals through education and rescue efforts. Take a look at a few of the faces (mostly Pits & Pit mixes) Animal Matters has helped over the years. You'll better understand why awareness and change is imperative to making the world a happier place for our defenseless friends. Now, order yourself some Pitbull Racing gear & get people talkin'!

A special thank you & a teary goodbye

Just have to take a moment to say a special thanks to Bob Pfarr, the patriarch of this group. He really got the ball rolling & put us into this great gear that we proudly wear every week! Unfortunately, Bob was hit by a car while on his bike and passed away. Our hearts are broken. We thank him for being an avid cyclist and fantastic friend. We miss him so much.

And you have to check this out

A big shout out to our friends at Doghouse Performance Cycling Center in Boca Raton, Florida. Please check out their facility and jump in on one of their sessions. You'll be a stronger cyclist, we promise!
